The History of Hall of Fame for Mothers
Hall of Fame for
Mothers™ is a virtual museum devoted to honoring and celebrating
mothers, the one
person most responsible for our lives. We assert that every day should be
Mother’s Day! In most cases the one who nurtured us, taught us, and the one
we can always rely on to make us feel that our life really counts for
something is our mothers. On Mother’s Day we send cards, gifts, and flowers
to make sure mom knows she is special to us. Our virtual museum is here 365
days a year to celebrate the attributes of great mothers all around the
world. We offer unique gifts with which your mother will experience an
everlasting tribute to her nurturing skills and devotion.
Hall of Fame for Mothers™
was originally begun by a very creative couple who developed and manages
galleries and museums based along the east coast of South Carolina.
Catherine and Jerry Spencer since 1987, devoted much time and energy to the
development of Hall of Fame for Mothers™. This unique museum moved its
exhibit base to the worldwide internet in 1998. This change in location
provides us with a greater exposure and broader outreach to a global
audience.
We now offer a computer
generated version of a “who’s Who” of
mothers around the globe. A visitor to Hall of Fame for Mothers™ can review
a mother’s induction and other basic information
celebrating the achievements of mothers inducted into our honor rolls. We
would like to encourage you to have your mother inducted into this unique
virtual museum and provide her with a unique recognition and
gift.
We currently offer a
variety of services in addition to promoting and honoring motherhood. These
unique services include the following:
- We offer a
museum store with a
variety of special gifts for mothers!
- We offer a
writing contest focused on positive
mothers and family experiences. We invite you to submit your story. (See
details on our writing contest page.)
- We offer parenting
support through resource guides and suggestions posted on our website. We
have Mother’s Day celebration and banquet kits for use by non-profit,
faith based, and community organizations.
E-mail us your requests for these materials.
- We partner with
community groups in fundraising efforts which promote parent recognition
as a part of the activities of churches, synagogues, maus, scout troops
and community based organizations. E-mail or write us with a proposal or
request for our fundraising kit.
- We offer a number of
unique exhibits. Many exhibits feature mothers you will find in other
Halls of Fame, such as Anna Jarvis Birthplace Museum, International Golf
Hall of Fame, The Astronaut’s Hall of Fame, Drag Racing Hall of Fame,
Baseball Hall of Fame, and many more! You will find exhibits devoted to
famous mothers and mothers behind famous and important people. We would
love to receive an e-mail suggestion from you as we press forward with the
development of our virtual museum for mothers.
